WHY DO SOME PEOPLE GET ACNE AND OTHERS DON'T
Till to date it is not known that why some people get acne
and others do not. The exact cause of teenage acne is still not known; still it is believed that primary cause
is the increase in androgen hormones. This hormone increases in both girls and boys during puberty. This hormone
causes sebaceous glands to produce more oil.
Another cause of teenage
acne is genetics. Researchers believe that acne prone skin is inherited from parents. Additionally some drugs
like prednisone, lithium and anti-epilepsy medicines also trigger acne breakout.
Cosmetics contain a greasy
consistency which causes a change in follicle cells. The greasy consistencies cause the follicles to stick
together which result in clogged pores.
Following are the things
that make the acne condition even worse
·
Friction caused by harsh
scrubbing
·
Squeezing or pricking
blemishes
·
Pressure from backpacks, tight collars or
helmets
·
Stress
·
Changing level of hormones in adult women or
adolescent girls 2 to 7 days prior to start of menstrual period
Chocolate, dirty skin and
greasy foods were previously believed to cause acne breakout; actually are not responsible for developing
acne.
