TEENAGE ACNE

Acne is a skin condition that affects most teenagers. Teenage
acne is a result of the reaction of hormones on sebaceous glands. The sebaceous glands produce an oily substance
termed sebum. Sebum is secreted towards the skin surface through hair follicles. The mixture of cells and oils
permit bacteria to grow in follicle opening. This causes the pores to get clog and develop
pimple.
