ACNE VULGARIS - SEVERE

Severe acne Vulguris includes following lesions

Nodules : Nodules means acne spots that are painful and larger. These are painful and sometimes stay on the skin for months. These are large sized bumps under the surface of the skin. Untreated nodules leave some impaction; which flares up repeatedly. These lesions must never be squeezed; as it may cause the lesion to stay on the skin for months.  

Cysts: Cyst resembles nodules but here it is pus filled. It has a diameter of 5mm. It is painful and causes scarring. Squeezing of cysts cause painful inflammation and deeper infection and make it to last longer.
