ACNE VULGARIS - MILD/MODERATE

A most common type of skin condition that includes
different kinds of pimples is Acne Vulguris. It includes whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, papules, cysts and
nodules.
Mild Acne vulguris
includes following acne lesions:
Whiteheads: Whiteheads is a result of the blocked pore which traps
bacteria, sebum and dead skin cell; this causes a whitish appearance on the surface of the skin. These types
of lesions seem begging to be popped. Make sure to follow the proper procedure of popping the pimples. The
life cycle of white head is larger, compared to the blackheads.
Blackheads: Blackheads are a result of partially blocked pores that
allows bacteria, trapped sebum and dead skin cell to drain to the surface. The black color is not because of
dirt; rather it is the reaction of skin pigment “melanin” with oxygen of air. Blackhead has a stable structure
and it takes longer clearing time.
Papules: Papules are red, inflamed, soft bumps that do not have
any head. Papules must not be popped as it will only result in scarring.
Pustules: Pustules are more
like whiteheads but these are inflamed. They seem like red circle with a yellow or white
center.
