SKIN CYSTS

Cysts
are closed pockets of skin tissues that are filled with pus, fluid or some other material.
These are common and appear anywhere. They look like a
tiny pea under the skin surface. Cysts develop as a consequence of infection and clogging of sebaceous glands
around foreign bodies like earrings.
Sometimes a severe reaction result in a large pus filled
lesion.

Treatment
Cysts are painless unless they become inflamed, infected
or rupture. Some cysts disappear without treatment; other requires to be drained. The draining procedure
requires the piercing with a sharp needle. Some cysts are treated with the injection of cortisone; which cause
its shrinkage. If cysts do not respond to any such treatment then it has to be removed
surgically.
