CAUSES OF BLACKHEADS

Blackheads develop if skin produces excessive oil. When puberty starts the body hormones becomes imbalance and Dihydrotestosterone or DHT start piling up. The result is the over activity of oil glands. It plugs the pores that result in blackhead. Blackheads are aggravated if the skin is dry and the dead cells piled up with open pores. These dead cells plug the pores and result in accumulation of oil in pores.  

Excessive make up, foundations, sunscreens and moisturizers are also one cause of make up. The good idea is to rinse thoroughly to avoid these problems. Hygiene is the key to prevent skin problems. But be careful as over cleansing or over rinsing is also one reason of irritation and skin anomalies. 

It is good to remember that our skin requires some oil to stay in better health. Excessive scrubbing results in irritation and then reflex activity of oil glands. This result in oil production and plugging of pores thus aggravate the acne.
