BLACKHEADS

Blackhead is a blackish or yellowish plug or bump on
skin. It is a kind of acne vulguris. The cause of blackhead is the accumulation of excessive oil in ducts of
sebaceous glands.
A blackhead is formed when the skin pore open and sebum
that contains melanin start to oxidize and turn to black color. It is not dirt that will wash away. Blackheads
last for longer time as contents gradually drain to skin’s surface.
